Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari is a world class conservation project which continues species re-introductions and breeding programmes.

A pest-proof fence which circles the perimeter provides a safe environment to reintroduce some of New Zealand’s most endangered species. The area is by far the largest pest-proof fenced project in the world at 47km long and offers a safe haven for many of New Zealand’s most endangered species.

We were tasked with the installation of a turnstile and access system to monitor and control visitor access to the area. Users purchase a access card from the entrance, then use it to access the sanctuary before simultaneously allowing exit and retrieving the card. 

Access Security and Control successfully installed a high quality powdercoated 3/4 height turnstile and wheelchair gate which worked extremely well in the area.
