Elevating Security and Efficiency at LSG Sky Chefs: A Transformation
For seven decades, LSG Sky Chefs, under the umbrella of Deutsche LSG Lufthansa, has been the backbone of catering in the airline industry. When they sought to enhance security and streamline operations, Access Security & Control stepped in to address their unique needs.
Tailored Solutions for Specific Needs:
LSG Sky Chefs presented us with three specific requirements, and we were up to the task. They had two cantilever sliding gates, each measuring approximately three meters. Their request was twofold—extend the gates to just over four meters and refurbish them to pristine condition. Our team orchestrated a seamless process, from removing the gates to their transformation. This involved not only extending them but also conducting essential maintenance. The gates were carefully sandblasted, zinc sprayed, and given a fresh two-pot paint finish. Once restored, they were re-installed in their new positions, now equipped with new high-speed sliding gate drives for added efficiency. To ensure safety, two safety ground loops were installed for each gate. With this, the gates were recommissioned, ready to serve their enhanced purpose.
Precision Pedestrian Control:
In addition to the gate improvements, we supplied and installed a full-height double bi-directional 304 stainless turnstile, offering a robust and efficient solution for pedestrian management.
Streamlined Traffic Flow:
To further enhance traffic management, we installed two Turnstar Traffic barriers in the car park—one to control incoming traffic and another for outgoing traffic. This approach streamlined vehicle flow, contributing to the overall efficiency of the site.
