New Zealand’s sole oil refinery, is a complex ecosystem, employing over 300 dedicated staff, alongside numerous contractors and subcontractors. With security and safety at the forefront of their priorities, Marsden Point turned to Access Security and Control to enhance their security infrastructure to meet the highest international standards.
Revolutionising Main Gates and Perimeter Entrances:
The central challenge at Marsden Point was to fortify security at their main gates and various perimeter entrances, ensuring that they adhered to the most stringent global practices. Recognizing the critical importance of this project, Access Security and Control embarked on a mission to deliver a comprehensive security solution.
The Speed and Safety of Bi-Folding Gates:
To tackle the task head-on, we installed three high-speed bi-folding gates—a feat of engineering that not only prioritizes security but also safety and efficiency. These gates open and close with remarkable swiftness, taking just three seconds to do so. Crucially, there’s no risk of harm to individuals or vehicles, thanks to advanced safety measures. The gate systems are equipped with photo-beams and two safety ground loops for each gate, ensuring foolproof security without compromise.
Seamless Pedestrian Control:
But security is not limited to vehicles alone. Access Security & Control installed two double full-height bi-directional turnstiles crafted from robust 316-grade stainless steel. These turnstiles not only enhance security but also facilitate precise monitoring. Staff members are accurately counted as they enter and exit the site through these turnstiles, providing an additional layer of control and accountability.
